Underwater Hockey
What a fantastic way to keep fit
We welcome people of all ages and sexes who simply want to keep fit and have a bit of fun. Octopush is underwater hockey played using mask, fins and snorkel. You whap a thingy with a whatsit to try and score a goal. It is as fast as you can manage and as competitive as you like. Why not come and watch. Better still, why not come and have a go.

The rules are quite simple, non contact and team orientated. We try to cater for all abilities in a friendly, but competitive spirit.

We meet at the newly refurbished Ken Martin Leisure Centre on Sunday afternoons. New players are welcome and equipment may be loaned free of charge.

We will operate junior, senior and combination teams and propose to introduce a mini-league system with annual competitions and trophies.

It is early days yet, as this is the first time we have introduced Octopush to Nottingham, but if the teams we started in Chesterfield are anything to go by it will soon become a regular and popular event.

We also need helpers and organisers, so come and take a look.

Limitations
All participants must be able to swim a length of the main pool, any stroke. There are no specific medical requirements, however to play Octopush, participants must be reasonably competent at snorkeling and duck diving.
