 Snorkeling
What a fantastic way to keep fit for all the family.
Snorkeling is not that difficult. The equipment is relatively cheap and if properly chosen will last a very long time.
Snorkeling is something that most people take to quite easily and is an ideal family activity.
The main problem is finding somewhere to learn and practice. Most swimming pools, either private or municipal, will not allow masks, fins and snorkels to be used. This is in case it upsets other users or you may inadvertently catch someone with your fins.
At Divemaster Scuba we do not have that problem because all our pool sessions are club hire and we insure all club members on a third party basis. So if there are any little mishaps, everyone is covered.
During the snorkeling sessions equipment (subject to availability) may be loaned from the club free of charge.
We have our own snorkeling instructors if you need any help and an active "Octopush" section where you can play underwater hockey and improve your snorkeling skills at the same time.
Snorkeling Lessons
It's good to start off on the right foot (or flipper, fin etc.). We offer snorkeling lessons either individually or in a family group.
We also have a number of games and underwater features to help keep you amused.
Limitations
All participants must be able to swim a length of the main pool, any stroke. There are no specific medical requirements, however to play Octopush, participants must be reasonably competent at snorkeling and duck diving.
