EFR Instructor

Emergency First Response Corp., a PADI corporate affiliate, offers the Emergency First Response CPR and first aid program.

EFR Instructor Programs:
The Emergency First Response Instructor program is open to PADI Divemasters and above. They must complete an Emergency First Response Instructor course that is normally conducted as a full day program. Emergency First Response Instructor courses may be found at our PADI Instructor Development Facility.

EFR Crossover Programs:
The Emergency First Response crossover program is open to PADI Assistant Instructors and above who are MEDIC FIRST AID® Instructors, or PADI Assistant Instructors and above who are current CPR/First Aid Instructors with another organisation. Crossover Programs may be found at our PADI Instructor Development Facility.

These courses replace the former Medic First Aid Course (MFA)

What can I do?
As an Emergency First Response Instructor, you can conduct Emergency First Response Primary (CPR) and Secondary Care (first aid) courses.

What do I need to start?
Emergency First Response certification or qualifying certification from another First Aid organisation.

What will I do?
You'll learn how to conduct the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) courses. You'll also learn to conduct the recommended Automated External Defibrillator (AED), emergency oxygen and conscious choking management skills.

How long will it take?
The Emergency First Response Instructor Course takes approximately eight hours. This is usually done in two or three sessions over the course of one day. Refreshments are available at the Dive Centre.
